The Critical Care Units within NHS Lothian are very research active, through strong links and collaborative working with our colleagues at the University of Edinburgh. The units contributes to a diverse range of clinical and translational studies including health sciences research, therapeutics, genetics and genomics. Research output from the units features prominently amongst the body of Critical Care literature with numerous publications in high impact journals.
